Hi, I’m Gabriela. This series, Coup de Foudre, was born from a kind of creative lightning strike—one that lit up the hidden corners of my own inner world. These works came from a deep pull to explore the silent stories we carry as women—stories passed down through generations, embedded in fabric, tucked inside heirlooms, or hidden in the way we move through the world.

This series didn’t start with a concept—it started with a feeling. A stirring. I found myself drawn to materials that felt storied: delicate paper, aged fabric, earthy tones that whispered of something ancestral. As I began painting, I realized I was creating not just art, but portals.
Each painting became a way of touching something I’ve always felt but couldn’t name—the intuitive, emotional lineage that lives inside us as women. These aren’t portraits or depictions—they are vessels. They hold the emotions, memories, and mysteries we often forget to honor.
